Flappy Dunk
More games to play
Flappy Dunk is a one-touch basketball arcade game, free to play in your browser on desktop and mobile. No download and no login required, so it works at school or at work wherever browser games are allowed. The idea is simple: tap to push the ball upward, let gravity pull it back down, and time each tap so the ball drops cleanly through the next hoop. Getting it through the rim without touching it earns a swish bonus and keeps a combo alive.
What is Flappy Dunk?
Flappy Dunk is an arcade game that combines the tap-to-flap physics popularized by Flappy Bird with basketball shooting. You control a ball that constantly falls under gravity. A tap sends it up; releasing the tap lets it arc back down. The goal is to pass it through a series of basketball hoops placed at varying heights. There are no levels in the traditional sense: the game is one continuous run scored by how many hoops you clear.
Tapping and timing
One input controls everything. Hold the tap to rise, release to fall, and aim for the center of the hoop.
| Action | Desktop | Mobile |
|---|---|---|
| Push ball upward | Hold left mouse button | Hold finger on screen |
| Release to drop | Release mouse button | Lift finger |
| Pass through hoop | Time release so ball arcs through | Time release so ball arcs through |
Swish combos and scoring
Every hoop you clear scores a point, but the swish is where the real points come from. A swish means the ball passes through without touching the rim at all. Chain swishes together to build a combo multiplier. Touch the rim on any shot and the combo resets to zero.
| Event | Effect |
|---|---|
| Clean hoop (no rim) | Swish: adds to combo streak |
| Rim touch | Shot counts, combo resets to zero |
| Miss entirely | Game over |
Unlocking cosmetic balls
As your score climbs you unlock new ball skins. These are cosmetic only: the shape, weight, and physics stay identical across all of them. There is no gameplay advantage to any skin, so use whichever one you like the look of.
- Unlock skins by reaching score milestones.
- Switch between unlocked skins before your next run.
- Physics are identical for every ball.
Tips for a longer run
- Watch the hoop position before you tap. The height of the next hoop tells you how long to hold.
- Aim for the center of the opening, not the rim edge. A center pass gives you the most margin.
- Short taps work for low hoops; longer holds are needed when the next hoop is high.
- After a swish, resist the urge to rush. The combo pressure can cause early taps.
- If you keep clipping the rim, slow your tap timing slightly and focus on arc shape over speed.
